is a retired educator with over 32 years of dedicated service in the Los Angeles Unified School District. Driven by a deep commitment to being a lasting presence
in his community, Dr. Rodgers devoted his career to shaping the hearts and minds of students while supporting the professional growth of educators.


A respected mentor and role model, he has been especially passionate about advocating for African American males, working to challenge limiting narratives, promote equity, and champion policies that expand opportunities. Grounded in a strong belief in social justice, his work has always reflected the conviction that lasting educational change begins with intentional
advocacy and meaningful relationships.


Dr. Rodgers’ philosophy and professional approach are deeply rooted in servant leadership, a model that places the welfare and development of others before self. He believes in leading through service—emphasizing teamwork, collaboration, and hard work as the foundation for achieving common and meaningful goals. His leadership style reflects humility, empathy, and a
strong commitment to uplifting those around him.

He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Affairs from Lincoln University (PA)—the nation’s oldest HBCU—along with a Master’s Degree in Education from California State University, Dominguez Hills, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from California State University,Long Beach.

An active and lifetime member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated, Dr. Rodgers fully embraces the fraternity’s commitment to achievement, while prioritizing community service, leadership development, and mentoring young men. Through both his fraternity and his professional journey, he remains steadfast in promoting excellence, service, and empowerment
within his community.
